Backup lines
Wherever the reliability of the wide area network is critical for the business and the applicable security standards require that a secondary spare line also be provided, the most efficient solution is to extend the features of the managed router
by enabling an automated switchover to a secondary back-up connection. The backup line can be provided using a variety
of technologies:

  • Backup ADSL or SDSL
  • Backup ISDN
  • Backup IPSec, with access over the existing Internet connection
  • Backup Mobile, with access over the mobile network of the Customer's mobile operator.

QoS (Quality of Service)

IP Solution supports prioritisation of outbound traffic from the Customer's site by splitting the access line's bandwidth into a number of classes of service (CoS), each of which is assigned to specific applications. That ensures the availability of
the bandwidth to business critical applications and those of primary importance (e.g. SAP, telephony, videoconferencing etc.).

The following QoS are available:

 
Class Purpose
Diamond Voice
Platinum Business Critical applications, video transmission
Gold Business applications
Silver Business applications
Bronze Other non-critical applications

 

Performance Monitoring

This value-added service allows tracking specific network parameters, such as bandwidth utilisation, packet delays etc on all sites by easy to use web interface.

Teleworking: IP Solution remote access for mobile users
A group of product solutions that ensure unlimited access to IT applications and information resources available on the IP Solution network. Users can access IP Solution from anywhere and anytime using the three key types of access offered as part of the service:

  • the Internet (secure access)
  • mobile network (wireless access)
  • telephone network (dial-up access)

Level of Service (SLA)

Three SLA levels are available: Standard, Plus and Top. Each level provides for a different set of fault resolution times and service uptime rates.
