Functionality
IP Solution is among the most advanced services within the GTS portfolio. It is based on the most modern technology – a fully redundant IP network from CISCO Global with CISCO 12000 backbone routers and CISCO 7500 edge servers. With the QoS mechanisms and the resulting IP traffic prioritization, the GTS IP Solution Service allows to implement a fully integrated, carrier-managed WAN enabling data and voice transfer and Internet access.
IP Solution ensures:
- Creation of a complete data transfer network, fully managed by the Provider
- Any bandwidth between locations (from 64 kbps to 155 Mbps)
- Traffic prioritization (voice, data, Internet) by criticality and quality needs (QoS)
- Equipment management
- Technical support available 24/7/365
- Online Monitoring
- Secure, remote access to the company’s assets for remote employees (sales representatives, agents) and smaller branches (as an additional service)
Options of IP Solution services:
IP Solution Standard
Basic option, limited exclusively to the Class 3 transmission which fills the bandwidth completely.
IP Solution QoS
A classic version of the service. Customers receive an IP VPN supporting all 3 service classes. Bandwidth distribution between the classes depends on application requirements, determined with 10% increments. Due to technical conditions, bandwidth dedicated to Class 1 traffic could not exceed 50% of the IP VPN access throughput.
IP Solution Data & Voice
Full version of the service allows for concurrent data transmission and telephone calls, as well as facsimile transmission between remote locations within the IP VPN or corporate network and beyond. Calls are generated via the customer’s telephone infrastructure connected to the VoIP network with Quality of Service (QoS) features, via analog or digital ISDN voice interfaces.
Bandwidth distribution between classes depends on application requirements, defined in 10-percent increments. Maximum bandwidth allocated for traffic in Class I is equivalent to 50 percent of IP VPN’s access bandwidth.
IP Solution Unmanaged
This option assumes that the responsibility for management of network devices is transferred to GTS customers. In this case, customers usually transmit data with their own routers. QoS characteristics and class types are then determined individually.
