GTS Central Europe (GTS), a leading provider of integrated telecommunications solutions in Central and Eastern Europe has chosen an agency which will from September provide PR and media services to the company throughout the region – Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and Romania. GTS’s bid competition was won by the Czech PR agency EMC. Its partner in Poland is Cohn@Wolfe.

“In order to unify the communications activities of GTS, we have, for the first time in our history, chosen a PR agency to cover the entire region. Until now, our PR activities were fragmented across our individual markets and in some cases, we used no PR services at all,” said Lucie Řeřichová, PR manager, GTS Group. “For us, the basic criterion in the bid competition was the ability of the agency to secure reliable associates throughout the region, so that we would be assured of a media image of the company at the same standard in all the countries in which we operate, and at the same time, increase awareness of the local activities of individual members of the group. EMC was able to provide us with sufficient references and guarantees for each of the agencies which make up the association.”

The bid competition was comprised of several rounds and took place from the beginning of June until August ofthis year. Four directly invited agencies participated in the selection process. EMC will provide complete PR services for GTS CE including consultation and advice regarding communications of the company not only with the media and professionals but also with customers. EMC will handle activities in the Czech Republic and regional coordination, while in the individual countries EMC will cooperate with its partners – Cohn and Wolfe in Poland, LWp Kommunikáció in Hungary, Media In in Slovakia and in Romania, Action Romania.
