International Personal Finance chooses GTS Poland

23. 03. 2011
GTS Poland, an infrastructure-based telecommunications operator and provider of data center services, has concluded a contract with the International Personal Finance (IPF) plc. The 3 year contract will deliver a corporate network covering five CEE countries, where IPF currently operates.

The scale of the IPF project is significant. GTS will build a wide area corporate network (IP-VPN) that will connect the group’s primary and backup data centres located in the UK, with all its operating subsidiaries in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania; whilst providing operational data flow and access to business critical systems.

Piotr Sieluk, CEO GTS Poland, commented on the contract with IPF:
“IPF’s decision to choose GTS was preceded by a thorough evaluation of what we offer, as well as quality testing of our European network infrastructure. I would like to add that GTS is the only carrier that has its own infrastructure in all the countries where IPF companies operate. Additionally, we have developed bilateral communication procedures with IPF, as well as crisis response scenarios. We are well aware that this project is very important for our client. We will spare no effort in ensuring our service is exactly what the company needs.”

GTS will provide IPF with a managed service, and will be responsible for the successful delivery of the corporate network, including ensuring the necessary human resources, network equipment, current network quality and performance monitoring.

Regardless of the country where the services are provided, GTS guarantees consistently high quality levels, a single point of contact for the customer, and a single team of experts responsible for proper network operation. GTS is able to provide the customer with such exceptional conditions because it uses its own network infrastructure, which it has built in all the above countries. Moreover, GTS has a team of engineers dedicated to comprehensive support for international projects.

David Parkinson, Country Manager, Provident Polska, commented: “As an international company that operates in Poland as well as four other CEE countries, it makes business sense for IPF to implement a European wide area corporate IP-VPN network which allows us to decommission our legacy network solutions and provision a modern scalable and cost effective service from a single provider, which we are confident GTS Poland will deliver.”

The new service proposed by GTS also brings new technological possibilities, such as:

  • Improved data transfer capabilities.
  • Introduction of value-added services.
  • Future voice capabilities.
