History of GTS in Poland

GTS Poland

On 4 May 2011 two companies set out below merged : GTS Energis and GTS Poland (prviously GTS Polska). Both companies, which up to this point operated separately, belong to the GTS Central Europe Group.The new entity has been named: GTS Poland.

 

Aqusition of Energis Polska by GTS Polska

On July 22th, 2005 GTS Polska signed an agreement to purchase 97.5% of Energis Polska shares. The acquisition of Energis Polska shares by GTS Polska was one of the biggest consolidation transactions within the Central European communications industry. In a consequences of the aquisition, on the market operated two companies: GTS Energis and GTS Polska.

GTS Polska

The beginnings of GTS Polska go back to 1999, when GTS CE merged Atom and Internet Technologies Polska, two Polish Internet pioneers, and ProNet Communications – alternative international data transfer operator. Thus, the largest Polish private Internet group was created under the common name of INTERNET PARTNERS. After the consolidation carried out on September 2004, the group was acting as one company named GTS Polska Sp. z o.o. GTS Polska changed its name to GTS Poland in 2010, with reference to integration and unification process within GTS CE Group.   

 

Energis Polska

Energis Polska is a communications carrier, present on the Polish market since September 1999, as a result of establishment of a Polish-British consortium NG Koleje Telekomunikacja Sp. z o.o., which was afterwards renamed to Energis Polska.

Since its beginnings, the company acted in the area of communications solutions for business customers. Its services were developed in line with the needs of modern companies and focused on optimizing their own resources.
